Virat Kohli shares a great camaraderie with Faf du Plessis on and off the pitch.

Royal Challengers Bangalore drummer Virat Kohli posted a picture with skipper Faf du Plessis on Instagram stating that the reason for their big laughs in the picture was a squeaky joke. Kohli shares great camaraderie with hitter Proteas on and off the court. The two also open innings together for RCB and have already been involved in several major partnerships for RCB.

Kohli, who is known for his witty captions, wrote, “Partner in the fold, partner in the squeaky jokes @faf1307,” while uploading the photo with Du Plessis.

In the photo, Kohli and Du Plessis were seen having a fun chat with RCB head coach Sanjay Bangar.

Meanwhile, Du Plessis has played as an Impact player for Bangalore in the last three games as Kohli took over as captain in his absence. The 34-year-old Indian led the franchise to two wins but RCB lost their last match to the Kolkata Knight Riders at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Du Plessis and Kohli have been in excellent form this season and topped the Orange Cap charts with the Proteas leading followed by the Indian.

Meanwhile, Kohli marked his fifth half century of the IPL 2023 campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders in their final game. The substitute RCB skipper scored 54 runs. finished his fifty in 33 balls and also had an outstanding record at Mr. Chinnaswamy Stadium. On Wednesday April 26, Virat became the first player to score 3,000 points at the iconic Bengaluru venue in the shortest format.

The 34-year-old was brutally honest after RCB’s dismal performance in the fielding department and admitted that after dropping some crucial holds in the outfield and allowing KKR to score 200/5 in 20 overs, they were rightly on the losing side.

“To be honest, we gave them the game. We deserved to lose. We gave them a win. We were definitely not up to it. If you look at the game, we didn’t capitalize on our chances. We lost a few chances which cost us 25-30 points,” Virat said at the post-match presentation ceremony.

RCB played their penultimate game at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium this season, they are set to play the next five games on the road before returning to Bengaluru for one final time this season on May 21.
