Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson opted to strike first against Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League
Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson won the toss and decided to beat Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians (MI) first in Indian Premier League (IPL) game number 42 2023 and the 1000th match in tournament history at Wanhede Stadium in Bombay on Sunday.

Sanju Samson has revealed Trent Boult is back in the side.
“We would like to strike first. Wicket looks like a good one, we try to stick to our strengths and do a total. We are playing an excellent level of cricket and the team is in a good space. Yes, the conditions are different but we will stick to our strengths. The team management does a great job of keeping morale up. Boult is coming back,” Sanju Samson said after winning the draw.

Birthday boy Rohit Sharma says Jofra Archer is on the side with Jason Behrendorff and Arjun Tendulkar out.
“We also played last year against the same opposition. It’s a good track and it looks a bit dry to me. We wanted to play first, we want a score in front of us. There were some ups and downs, we played good cricket and also lacked consistency. We had a good break and hopefully we can put in a good performance. We have two changes – Jofra and Arshad Khan are back, instead of Behrendorff and Arjun Tendulkar,” said Rohit Sharma during the draw.
