“We’re going to have a bat. There will be a little more cornering in the second heats, I can feel it. I feel much better now. We have Hazlewood tonight, and Anuj is replacing Shahbaz. Our team is well adapted to these conditions. It’s just about hitting well tonight,” said Faf du Plessis after winning the draw.

LSG has also changed its line-up. Fast bowler Avesh Khan has been replaced by versatile Krishnappa Gowtham in the playing XI.

“It will just be hard work on this pitch for both teams. Just a change. Avesh Khan misses and K Gowtham comes in. Having played here twice, we know spin will be used more than pace here. I just want to keep our composure during difficult times. The only thing we talked about is not coming with a fixed mindset and we have to play well and limit them to a low total, “said LSG captain KL Rahul.
