Armed robbers raided the luxury Bulgari jewelry store in Place Vendôme, central Paris, in broad daylight on Saturday, taking items worth an estimated several million euros, police said and the prosecutors.
Three people arriving on two motorbikes entered the store in the popular tourist area around 1:45 p.m. local time (1145 GMT), a police source said, citing preliminary information.
Two were carrying long guns, the source added, saying they punched a security guard.
A robbery has just taken place in the Bulgari Boutique on Place Vendôme in Paris. The three robbers managed to flee on two motorcycles.

The extent of the blow and the damage estimated at several million euros (dollars) was still being assessed, another source close to the investigation told AFP.
The same Bulgari store was also the target of a broad daylight armed robbery in September 2021, when thieves made off with some 10 million euros ($10.6 million) in loot.

An investigation for armed robbery has been opened, said the Paris prosecutor’s office.
Following the 2021 robbery at the Bulgari store, one of the robbers was injured in the leg by a police officer.
He was arrested, charged and imprisoned.
In June 2022, two other suspects, then aged 26 and 37, were arrested.
They were also charged and remanded in custody.
Italian jeweler Bulgari is owned by French fashion conglomerate LVMH.
